Wallace H. Connolly Jr.
Memorial service for Wallace H. Connolly Jr., 74, Lawton, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service Chapel.
Mr. Connolly passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, at his residence.
Wallace was born Nov. 8, 1943, in Highland Park, Mich., to Wallace H. Sr. and Eva C. (Porcaro) Connolly. He enlisted in the Army in 1961 and proudly served his country for over five years before being honorably discharged in 1966. While in the Army, Wallace received numerous awards, medals and commendations. On Feb. 14, 1962, he married Mary Brister. He worked at Fort Sill doing marketing, advertising and publicity and owned and operated Sun Signs from 1982 until his passing. In his free time, he enjoyed painting, drawing, photography and riding his motorcycle.
Wallace is survived by two daughters, Lorie Rowland, Lawton, and Stephanie Wolfenbarger and husband John, Lawton; one son, Jeffrey Connolly, Venita; four grandchildren, Kristen Justice, Lawton, Quincy Wolfenbarger, Elgin, Zack Kerekis, Dallas, Texas, and Shawn Connolly, of Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Trace; two sisters, Ann Baker and Peggy Willie, both of Michigan; one brother Alan Connolly, of Michigan; and special friends, Johnny Rowland and Brian McCabe; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother, Larry Connolly; and one grandson, Christopher Connolly,
