Mr. Smith passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.

Interment will be at Post Cemetery.

Lee was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Killeen, Texas, to Willie and Lila Smith. He gave very generously of his time. It was normal for him to give. He was a gentle man, slow to anger and had a huge heart. Lee was known to help the ladies with their car problems, always working on them for free with no exceptions. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and the Western Swing Music Society of the Southwest. In his free time, Lee built model ships and airplanes but he loved nothing more than dancing, he could waltz like a pro.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Lila McIntyre, Chickasha; his two sons, Brian Keith Smith and Willie Ernest Smith, both of Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren, Carol Marie DeAmbrose, Shonda Lee DeAmbrose, Brian Keith Smith Jr., Steven Andy Smith, Rachel Smith and Reva May Smith; one step-grandson, Charles Vernon Morris; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Baylus Smith, Kaylen Smith and Ruth Owens; and three step-siblings, Bo Bozyk, Michale Hudson and Holly Thompson; along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
