Loretta A. Williams

DUNCAN  Graveside service for Loretta A. Williams, 80, Duncan, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at Marlow Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating.

Loretta A. Williams passed peacefully on Wednesdya, Nov. 22, 2017, at a nursing home in Duncan. 

Arrangements are under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. 

She was born Dec. 11, 1936. She will be best remembered for her creativeness and her wonderful sense of humor. She also will be remembered for her wonderful personality and her amazing intelligence. She was a graduate of Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a master's degree in communication from Oklahoma University. Her career consisted of performing and working with the Oklahoma City Symphony, as well as serving in advertising and communication positions at various television stations. She was very a talented musician and story teller, and she enjoyed sharing these gifts with family and friends.

She is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, her two cousins: Patricia McNally of Chelan, Wash., and Don Ely of Nicholasville, Ky.; her nephew, Gary Williams, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and longtime loyal friend (sister), Edith Phillips, of Duncan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Hester Williams; her brother, Truman Williams, and his wife, Zeanuth Williams.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at the funeral home.
