CHATTANOOGA Lina RayAnn Burgess-Adams, 3, Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Mt. Scott Comanche Church with the Rev. David Harjo and Lay Speaker Tina Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
Overnight wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Mt. Scott Comanche Church.
Lena was born Jan. 16, 2014, in Lawton, to Clifton Adams and Martha Tenille Burgess. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandpa Rod, aunties, uncles and watching TV and movies with her favorites being Hello Kitty, Ninja Turtles and the Bee movie. She was a joy to everyone and liked to fake sleep to trick her Auntie Robin. She also enjoyed listening to powwow music by her uncle's group the Wild Band of Comanche's, and Native American Church songs. She was a special girl who was doted over by her family. She is a descendant of the Comanche, Otoe, Arapaho, Cheyenne and Sioux Tribes and a descendant of the Youngman, Burgess, Ototivo, Yellowfish, Clark and Parker Families.
She is survived by: parents: Clifton Adams of Lawton, and Martha Burgess of the home; grandmother, Leslie Youngman and grandfather, Donnie Reed of the home, grandfather, Earl Burgess Jr. and Frostina Morales of Lawton; paternal grandparents: Jan Ototivo and Tommy Chasenah; aunts: Sarah Jane Burgess, Daisy Earlene Burgess, Erin Plumley, Sharon Garza, Robin LeGrand, Nina Alice Burgess, Mariah Silverhorn, Casey Tsoodle, Barbara Sandongei, Johnetta and Sierra Silverhorn, Alyson Youngman, Donie Grace Pewo, Neosha Adams and Uriah Banderas, Kelly Adams, Tara Adams, Janaye Toppah, Felicia Gallegos, Elizabeth Tiger and Sophia Tiger; uncles: Billy Wayne Burgess Sr., Ronald J. She was preceded in death by: great-grandparents: Clifford and Emma Ototivo, Rudy Ototivo, Timothy Ototivo, maternal great-grandparents: Roderick and Nina Youngman, Merrick Youngman, Lisa Tahpay, and Theresa and Albert Tahsequah; great-great-grandparents: Bert and Lena Youngman; aunts and uncles: Mary and Tommy Reed, Wayne Motah, Teddy Burgess, Gary and Angel Burgess, and Nancy Ann Reed; and Aunt Alena Sue Youngman.
