Anita Janet Jones Beasley
Mrs. Beasley was born March 7, 1933, in Lawton. She was raised in Cache. She had been a resident of Henderson County, Kentucky, for 50 years.
Mrs. Beasley's parents ran Antrum Lumber Company in Cache, which was later owned and operated as Jones Lumber. She was instrumental in helping them run their very successful business. She also was an outstanding athlete, participating in state championships on the girls high school basketball and softball teams. Mrs. Beasley was a past member of Cache Eastern Star and Cache United Methodist Church. She enjoyed attending Baskett Christian Church. She worked alongside her husband operating various businesses with their children.
She was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and enjoyed for years working as an election poll judge. She loved crocheting and gifted hundred of afghans to family and friends. She had a deep, deep love for all animals. Mrs. Beasley enjoyed traveling and was quite popular at restaurants as she enjoyed dining out. Mrs. Beasley loved her husband of 40 years, her son, and her twin daughters with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Morris Beasley I, (her Bill); her son, George Morris Beasley II, (Bub); her parents, Paul Jones Sr., and Narragansett (Morris) Jones; and one brother, Paul Jones Jr.
She is survived by her fraternal twin daughters: Anita Beasley Hagan and her husband, Steve, and Blackie Beasley, her caregiver; four grandsons: Wes (Steffanie), Brandon, Stephen (Tabitha), and Jordan (Laura) Hagan; four great-grandchildren: Drake, Kailyn, Hunter, and Jace Hagan; two stepgrandchildren: Joseph Thurmond and Shannon Thurmond Lewis; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Mrs. Beasley's daughter, Blackie Beasley, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, Ky.
Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Following the funeral there will be a dinner at New Beginnings Church on U.S Highway 60 East.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Cache High School graduating Class of 1951.
Active pallbearers will be Steve, Wes, Brandon, Stephen, and Jordan Hagan, Spencer Billings, Roscoe Billings, Brad Beasley, Bobby and Danny Moore, Marilyn and Gary Hataway, Debra Beasley Bear and Anita Wedding.
