Lawton police are investigating a pair of shooting incidents from Tuesday evening.

Officers and first responders were called around 5:40 p.m. to the 100 block of Northeast Arlington on the report of a shooting. A man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.

“There was an argument between three males and one of them was shot sometime during the argument,” said Sgt. Tim Jenkins, Lawton Police information officer.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment to his non-life threatening injuries.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.

In an apparently unrelated incident, police were called around 9:30 p.m. to another shooting call. This time, the shooting was in the 2800 block of Southwest J Avenue. Police found a person suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

“(It’s) Unknown what caused the shooting at this time,” Jenkins said.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment for his non-life threatening injuries, according to Jenkins.

“There are no suspects in custody at this time,” he said.
