Lawton police announced that Thursday morning’s shooting incident that left a man and woman dead outside a southside dollar store is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
The victims have also been identified.
The man has been identified as Ralph Odum, 60, and the woman as Donna Bonds, 51, according to Sgt. Tim Jenkins, LPD information officer.
The two were found by responders shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday suffering from gunshot wounds. They were lying dead on the walkway between Roy’s Auto Supply and Family Dollar, 1317 W. Lee.
Jenkins said an unidentified handgun was recovered by investigators at the scene.
Police identified Odum as the shooter.
The shooting was captured on the security video camera at Chief’s Smoking Ice House, 1315 W. Lee. Police continue to investigate what led to the incident and haven’t identified a motive.
Bonds is the city’s 17th homicide victim of 2019, according to Constitution reporting.
