The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and Lawton police are investigating a Wednesday evening beating that left a man bruised, battered with a broken leg, arm and pinky.

A deputy was called to Comanche County Memorial Hospital on the report of an assault victim. He met with LPD Officer Jay Bruce who had already begun a report.

Bruce told the deputy that around 5 p.m., the 57-year-old man had been assaulted at his home in the 3500 block of Southwest Bishop Road by two men, one wielding a tire iron and the other a golf club, according to the report. A witness said he had gone to the home to collect his gas can when he saw the beating take place.

Investigators have the full name of one suspect and the other suspect is only identified as “Doug.”

The injured man was unable to answer questions or sign the report.
