Motorcycle wreck with tree sends Lawton woman to hospital
A 34-year-old Lawton woman was hospitalized following a Tuesday night wreck between her motorcycle and a tree in southern Comanche County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Daquita C. Carr was flown to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she was admitted in fair condition with head, arm, leg and internal/external trunk injuries.
Carr was driving a Suzuki GSX motorcycle southbound on Oklahoma 65 shortly after 7:30 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve, Trooper Carlin Neece reported. The bike went off the roadway to the left, Carr lost control and struck a tree at the intersection of Southeast 150th Street and Baseline Road, 9 miles east and 2 miles north of Geronimo.
