Juvenile busted for burglary and more following Friday pursuit
A juvenile was taken into custody following a Friday morning attempt to flee from police following a burglary.
Police were called around 8:15 a.m. to the 2400 block Northwest Robin Hood Drive on the report of a burglary. Sgt. Tim Jenkins, LPD information officer, said police made contact with the suspects who were in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Contact, however, would not equal a stop without some effort.
Jenkins said the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed with two male’s inside. The vehicle pursuit ended around Northwest 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The chase then turned footbound when the males took off running. One suspect got away, another did not.
