Mac drops first district contest of season to Noble, 4-2

NOBLE — MacArthur suffered its first district loss of baseball season Tuesday, falling 4-2 to Noble on the road.

The Bears jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning, and didn’t look back. Despite each team finishing with six hits, the Highlanders (22-6, 9-1 District 5A-1) allowed two runs to score via error, the difference in the game.

Racer Felter got the start on the mound, but gave up all six hits in three innings of work. Malik Wilson relieved him to throw five strikeouts and hold the Bears without a hit in the final three innings.
