Liberty and justice for Pokes

In familiar situation, Oklahoma State's final stand was no surprise in Liberty Bowl win over Missouri

MEMPHIS — Oklahoma State’s much-maligned defense came up with two of its biggest stops of the season Monday in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, stopping Missouri quarterback Andrew Lock on a fourth-and-one bootleg to preserve a wild 38-33 victory and salvage a 7-6 winning season.

The up-and-down Cowboys were having another of those days Monday as quarterback Taylor Cornelius had another of “those” games where he did so many good things, including throwing for a Liberty Bowl tying-record four touchdown passes.

With his hot hand and some great catches from a variety of receivers, the Cowboys built a 35-19 lead and were trying to tack on more.
