Ike in 12th place in 6A meet at Karsten

STILLWATER  With all its teeth showing, on a day when temperatures plummeted below 60 degrees and the north winds blew, there was only one way to describe Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater.

"That's a big boy golf course," Eisenhower boys golf coach Maurice Mayfield said. "It played tough for everyone today, except for maybe Edmond North."

Eisenhower shot 707 as a team and sits in 12th place. Edmond North (597) and its bevy of future Division I golfers are 30 strokes ahead of second-place Edmond Memorial (627). Jenks is third at 629.

Bentley Bross (81-84) and Mikey Roberts (84-87) led Eisenhower. Bross is 20 strokes off the leader, while Roberts is 24 back.

Derek Wise (96-86), Billy Nevins (96-93) and Connor Bridges (107-90) rounded out the Eagles' scorecard.
