Class 4A State Tournament Primer: What to watch for as 'Darko, Elgin bring both girls and boys teams to final weekend

It is the first time in school history that both the Elgin girls and boys basketball teams are playing in the state tournament together. The Owls are joined by both the Anadarko girls and boys in Class 4A, as the Warriors are no stranger to bringing both teams to the final weekend.

The Class 4A state tournament tips off today in Mustang and Oklahoma City. Here’s what to watch for.

Storyline: Grudge match state title showdown

Elgin won the season rubber match in the state tournament quarterfinals, edging Anadarko in another thriller. This season, the Lady Owls are 2-1 against Anadarko. You can bet the Lady Warriors will be motivated to avenge those losses and even the score if the top two seeds meet in Saturday’s championship game in the Big House.
