Cameron teams hosting Falcons today

Winning basketball games in the Lone Star Conference is tough, even when teams are blessed with the home-court advantage. That’s because the conference is loaded with a great deal of talented players, many of them who were recruited by NCAA Division I teams during their high school careers.

So, whenever teams have a chance to play on their home court, they need to make sure and preserve that advantage and do everything in their power to garner home wins.

Today that will be especially important as the Cameron women and men host Texas-Permian Basin in a pair of key games at the Aggie Gym. The women tangle at 2 p.m. and then the men follow around 4 p.m.

The importance is easy to see when looking at the conference standings. The CU women are 1-4 in the conference and 4-9 overall while the Falcons are 0-5 at the bottom of the conference standings and they are just 3-10 overall.
