Cameron hosts rival Midwestern tonight
The Cameron basketball teams are coming off of wins this past weekend and hope to carry that momentum into tonight's matchup with rival Midwestern State.
It's the first time the Aggies and Mustangs have faced off this season. The two will face each other in Wichita Falls on Feb. 20.
The women tip off at 5 p.m. at the Aggie Gym and the men follow at 7:30 p.m.
Aggie women look to get back in LSC race with win
A team with a conference record of 4-4 may not jump off the page as a contender.
But a win or two in their next few games could vault the CU women back in the conference race. Cameron is one of three teams tied for fifth place in the Lone Star Conference at 4-4. With MSU, Texan Women's and Tarleton in their next three contests, the Aggies could get out of the three-team logjam sitting in the middle of the conference standings.
But at an overall record of 6-10, the Aggies are more focused on stringing together back-to-back quality games than competing for the conference title at this moment. The Aggies are coming off a win against Western New Mexico in which every CU player who saw the floor scored. A win over Midwestern could give the Aggies just their second two-game win streak of the season.
