Area stars take to the hardwood one last time
High school basketball is a major calling-card for Southwest Oklahoma and 2014 was no different as nine schools made the state tournament across all classes and genders.
While none of the teams won a title, the Anadarko girls did the best finishing second, they were still loaded with all kinds of talent and the senior from those teams hit the hardwood tonight in Cache for one final time.
The Large School Girls start the action at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the Large School Boys, Small School Girls and Small School Boys each successive hour.

Big disadvantage?: The Large North Boys seem to be at a size disadvantage against their opponents from the South. The South has five players at 6-3 or taller while the North has just three. The North does have the tallest player in 6-10 Jacob Hammond from Comanche, however.
