Aggies force 29 turnovers en route to 82-70 victory
Birthdays are nice. Wins are better.
Andrew Brown experienced the best of both worlds Thursday as he directed his Cameron University men’s basketball team to an 82-70 Lone Star Conference victory over Western New Mexico.
It’s the first league win for the Aggies, who are now 1-4 in LSC action and 5-10 overall.
Western falls to 3-8 and 0-4.
A key for the Aggies was getting 29 turnovers. Nineteen were the result of steals. The result was a 26-19 advantage in points off turnovers.
Not good enough for Brown, who obviously was pleased to get that elusive ‘W’, but he continues to seek improvement. His club gave away possession 20 times.
