Aggies drop NWMSU
Despite dropping two games to the Bearcats on Saturday, the Cameron baseball team came back with a 3-2 win in the series finale over Northwest Missouri State on Sunday afternoon.
Cameron out-hit the Bearcats 7 to 5 and took advantage of three errors while committing none.
Micah Kaaukai and Trey Bigford each had two hits and batted in one run apiece.
CU's starter Reid Garrett moved to 3-0 on the mound after pitching seven innings, six of which he held NWMSU scoreless. He also struck out six batters and walked one.
Sean Maher picked up his second save throwing the final two innings allowing no hits and striking out four.
Kaaukai got things started for Cameron with a leadoff triple. Bigford scored him with a SAC fly giving the Aggies a 1-0 advantage.
