Aggie volleyballers win fourth straight

ADA - Cameron is riding its longest winning streak since the 2011 season earning a three-set sweep of East Central on Tuesday night, garnering a fourth straight victory to run its record to 9-7 overall.

While the non-conference match won't help the Aggies improve their Lone Star Conference record, it will aid that much-needed momentum category that could be a key Friday when the Aggies host national power West Texas A&M at 7 p.m. Friday and Eastern New Mexico at 2 p.m. Saturday. WT comes in at 7-0 in conference and 16-3 overall, while ENMU is 3-4 in LSC action and 8-8 overall.

Last night it was five ECU errors and a pair of Aggie kills gave CU the quick 7-1 lead in the first set and kept them in front from start to finish and took a 25-23 win and they were on their way to the victory. CU won the second 25-17 and then closed out the match with a 25-20 victory.

In set two, CU's offense clicked and despite six ties the Aggies used a 7-1 run to break a 7-7 tie to pull in front and never look back, knocking down 16 kills while only committing three errors to hit a .394 clip during the set. Kendra Adams paced the Ags with five kills and Paige Holt knocked down four.
