New support group to hold Christmas party
DUNCAN A new support group for parents and caregivers of children with special needs has planned a family Christmas party for Sunday.
The party will be from 2-4 p.m. at Think Ability, 2115 W. Beech.
"Please bring the whole family including children of any ages with special needs or medical challenges and their siblings," group organizer Shelly Conley said. "We will have Christmas-themed craft projects, a photo booth, snacks and fun."
People are asked to take a gift of small snacks to share.
The support group is a monthly group open to moms, dads and other caregivers of children of all ages with special needs or medical challenges. Its goal is to share successes and struggles, provide beneficial information and resources, and connect caregivers with one another for support.
