Native American arts, tribal crafts to be on sale
The Native American Cultural Studies Program is taking the Christmas season as opportunity to promote and preserve traditional Native American arts and tribal crafts.
The program will be hosting the upcoming Native American Christmas Market from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Summit Room of the Apache Casino Hotel, 2315 E. Gore. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
There will be performances throughout the day by Native American flute players including Myron Beeson, Tim Tate Nevaquaya and Edmond Hamilton and storytelling by Matt Hamilton, said Eleanor McDaniel, program director.
