Waurika man hospitalized in critical condition following Thursday wreck

A Waurika man is in critical condition in an Oklahoma City hospital following a Thursday morning wreck south of Duncan that investigators blame on his failure to stop at a sign.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Peter W. Giacomini, 32, was taken to Duncan Regional Hospital and later flown to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg and internal/external trunk injuries.

Giacomini was driving a Lincoln Town Car westbound on Fuller Road shortly before 7:30 a.m. when, Trooper Darin Carman reported, he failed to yield at the stop sign at Old U.S. 281.
