Registration and guidelines released for Kiowa elder trip to New Mexico
Requirements have been released for Kiowa elders readying for the Oct. 23-27 trip to Albuquerque, N.M.
The elders selected for the trip will be drawn from a hopper, as well as back up names for the seven Kiowa Legislative Districts. Deadline for submission of names is Oct. 11 and must be received by Darin Zotigh, administrator of the Kiowa Administration on Aging (AOA).
To be eligible you must:
•Submit a signed release of liability agreement.
•Doctor’s release of travel; list of medications.
•Notification to Kiowa AOA if travel requires your wheelchair, walker, oxygen tank and ice chest cooler for medication like insulin.
•Seniors will be responsible for their own expense money.
•Drury Hotel provides free breakfast and evening meal. Seniors are responsible for lunch breaks.
•Extra costs incurred at the Drury Hotel will be the senior’s responsibility and incidentals will not be paid by the AOA or Kiowa Tribe.
