In person absentee voting begins today
In person absentee voting begins today for residents who want to vote early in the local, state and federal primary elections that are scheduled for Tuesday, June 26.
Those races are the first of three elections scheduled this year to narrow the field or select party nominees for county offices for county commissioner, state offices such as the Oklahoma House and Senate, federal offices such as the representative for the Fourth Congressional District, and statewide offices such as governor and lieutenant governor. In addition, state residents are being asked to decide State Question 788, the "medical marijuana" bill that would allow the use of marijuana in Oklahoma for medical purposes, under specific circumstances. Democrats, Republicans and Libertarians all have candidates on the primary ballots.
