Motorcyclist dies in wreck

One man died and another was injured while driving motorcycles on Oklahoma 58 near Medicine Park early Saturday morning. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that Geoffrey David Thomason, 24, of Midwest City, was pronounced dead at the scene after he struck a group of trees and was thrown from his 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle around 1:15 a.m. on McClung Road 3 miles north of Medicine Park.

The report states that Thomason crossed the center of the road, failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the motorcycle before running into a ditch and hitting the trees.

Thomason was not wearing a helmet, and the collision remains under investigation, the report states.
