Hoover home to head Chamber
FREDERICK A local resident recently returned to her hometown to lead the local Chamber of Commerce.
Haley Hoover is the new executive director of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. She was recently named to the position to succeed Melissa Huff, who served in that capacity since last June.
Hoover is a lifelong resident of Frederick. She graduated from Frederick High School in 2009 and then attended the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated in December with a bachelor's degree in public relations. She is the daughter of Frederick residents Marlin and Ruth Ann Hoover and granddaughter of Elise and Ernest Hoover, also of Frederick.
She began duties on Jan. 13 but had been offered the position before.
"Originally, I turned it down. I wanted to go off somewhere else and then come back," he said. "But I'm very passionate about Frederick. Sometimes God has big plans for you."
