Competency hearing set in Duncan murder case
A post-evaluation competency hearing is scheduled for a 35-year-old Duncan man who was said to be acting increasingly agitated and paranoid and is accused of the December 2017 killing of his wife and stepfather.
District Judge Ken Graham issued the order setting the hearing for Shane J. Kirk for 10 a.m. July 9, court records indicate. Kirk was charged in December with two counts of first-degree murder with deliberate intent in Stephens County District Court. He was ordered to be held without bond in the county jail.
