Cache quilting business saves sewing pastime
CACHE — A creative Cache business owner wants to ensure the art of sewing never dies in Southwest Oklahoma.
Beverly Martine owns Quilt N Bee, a quaint shop in downtown Cache — easily spotted by the colorful display of various quilts and crafts in her storefront windows. While much of her business is the sale of quilts, blankets and crafts, a substantial portion is derived from numerous classes during which she and other employees teach the art of sewing in different aspects. Her most popular, Sew Days, concluded in the summer, but will be brought back in October. The six-week course is designed to teach even the most novice of would-be sewers.
