Bark in the Park returns to Duncan this weekend

DUNCAN — On Saturday, the Stephens County Humane Society will host its 13th annual “Bark in the Park”, a party for pets that assures to be a pawfully good time, and could end in some furry friends finding forever homes.

The event will be at Fuqua Park in Duncan, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. It is free to attend, though a $5 donation is appreciated. Festivities will include contests for best costume, best bark, owner look-a-like, best trick and cutest cat. There will be a $5 entry fee for cutest cat, a booth to vote (for $1) for cutest cat. There will be different demonstrations, “Bark Boutique/Meow Mart” and an obstacle course. For visitors of the two-legged variety, there will be food trucks, a bake sale and the first 100 people will get a Bark in the Park goodie bag.
