Arts, crafts market set this weekend in Cache

A Native American arts and crafts sale and indoor flea market will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Tribal Art Center and Bad Eagle Gallery, 423 West C Ave. in downtown Cache.  

Shoppers will find handmade tribal crafts to include all kinds of jewelry, beadwork, blankets, shawls, silverwork and lots of flea market bargains. Original artwork by local tribal artists such as Clarice Palmer Campbell, Jack Blackhorse Tointigh, Quanah Parker Burgess, Tim Saupitty and others will be available for sale. 

 Eleanor McDaniel will provide a class in how to make beaded medallions beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. The cost for the class is $25 and all supplies are included.  

Rare photos of Comanche Chief Quanah Parker will be on display and available for sale courtesy of Comanche tribal historian Sam DeVenney.  Indian tacos will be sold on Saturday only.
