Arrest warrant filed for teen in gun case

An Anadarko teen is returning to adult court as a youthful offender after an arrest warrant was filed of his accused use of a gun while committing a crime.

District Judge David A. Stephens approved the warrant Tuesday in Caddo County District Court accusing Brandon Highwalker, 16, with a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon, records indicate. He's looking at between two years to life in prison, if convicted. 

According to the charge, Highwalker is accused of firing a pistol "without justifiable or excusable cause commit an assault with a deadly weapon" at some people in Carnegie on March 21. Two witnesses, a father and daughter, told Carnegie police that Highwalker called them in need of a ride to Carnegie. According to the court affidavit, he didn't say why.
