Local nonprofit organization Lawton Business Women will host their 54th Annual Fashion Show from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Lawton Country Club, 4601 W. Gore, showcasing several styles from businesses in the community.
Tickets for the event are $25, which includes lunch, and can be purchased at the door. The benefit show is open to the public and will have door prizes.
LBW President Helena John said the organization has been working on the project since June. The show serves as a scholarship fundraiser for young women in the area.
"It's a big production for us; we have a huge committee that works on it," John said. "This is primarily for raising scholarship money. Recipients had to have graduated from a Comanche County school and must attend Cameron University or Great Plains Technology Center."
This year's theme is "Pizzazz," featuring clothes from The 18th Block, Trendy Tots, The Wooden Nickle at Edwards, Amor Formals, Dillard's and The Buckle.
LBW Parliamentarian Beverly Wooley said 16 vendors will also be present. The booths include Empire Limousine Services, Thirty-One Bags, Jamberry Nails & Skye Jewelry, Impressions Jewelry and Doncaster Women's Apparel.
