The first meeting of singers for the 2012 production of Handel's Messiah will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the McCutcheon Recital Hall in the Music Building at Cameron University. Rehearsals will continue Nov. 4, 11 and 18 and Dec. 2.

Rehearsals are in preparation for the Dec. 8 performance. Doris Lambert, director of choirs at New Post Chapel, will conduct the choir and orchestra.

Anyone wishing to participate is invited. No auditions are required, but soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices are needed for this 71st annual performance of the holiday classic. Anyone interested in performing a solo may audition on Sunday.
