Bestselling author David "Blackie" Steece made two local appearances on last year's book signing tour. The lines were long and records were set. This year he's only making one stop with the latest installment telling the story of his colorful life as a former Mafia leader.
The limited engagement book signing by David "Blackie" Steece of his just released "david steece's A Question of Honor" is taking place 9 a.m.-7 p.m. today at the main PX on Fort Sill, 1718 Gruber Rd., Fort Sill.
The once-high ranking member of the New Orleans underground, who went straight and even became a lawman, is also a former U.S. Marine.
His first book, "david steece's Paradox" has been a runaway bestseller. The sequel, he said, has led to talks with a major film company. Plans are in the final stages to bring his story to the big screen. The forward to the new book was penned by family friend Charles Clark, Styles Editor of The Lawton Constitution.
Steece said he will be gone Thursday, but his wife Barbara will be manning the book table.
