Tarleton State's big guns dominated the bookend sets and made them stand up for a 3-1 Lone Star Conference volleyball victory over Cameron University Friday in the CU gym.
Scores were 25-9, 28-26, 19-25 and 25-14.
The TexAnns enjoyed a 58-38 advantage in kills, a 12-7 edge in blocked shots and a 92-70 cushion in digs while improving to 9-2 in league play and to 14-5 overall.
Senior Nikki McNorton paced Tarleton with 13 kills and 4.5 blocks. Katie Covell and Meg Umbel added 10 kills each and Emily Klein had 25 digs.
Freshman Kat Evans led the Aggies with 12 kills while fellow frosh Annelise Carpenter and Shannon Dulaney added seven and six, respectively. Senior Julisa Ocasio had 32 digs and junior Erin Hardy added 17.
Cameron, now 2-8 and 7-14, wraps up a two-game home stand this afternoon when it hosts league leader and 11th-ranked Angelo State for a 2 p.m. encounter.
CU has five road matches before returning home on Oct. 30 to host Southeastern.
