Texas Woman's University drove home the point Friday by sweeping a Lone Star Conference volleyball match from Cameron University in the Aggie gym.
Scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 25-16.
The Pioneers improve to 6-1 in league play and to 12-3 overall. Cameron is 1-5 and 5-10.
The Aggies return to the CU gym this afternoon for a doubleheader. Coach Doug Tabbert's youngsters will face Texas A&M Commerce at 2 p.m. in a league match before battling St. Mary's at 4:30 in a non-conference test.
The home stand continues Tuesday when Midwestern State visits for a 7 p.m. contest.
Texas Woman's enjoyed a big statistical edge Friday. The Pioneers hit .330 to Cameron's .102, had 47 kills to the Ags' 32 and committed just 19 errors to CU's 27.
Junior Josie Santos led TWU with 11 kills, junior Chloe Tate had 10 and senior Viktorija Jablonska and junior Marcela Alves nine each. The Pioneers also had seven blocks to Cameron's two and a 60-47 advantage in digs.
Tate and Jablonska rank fourth and fifth in the league in hitting percentage.
