What's on your playlist
If you see a little extra kick in one Highlander player or another's step during the games, they may be thinking back to practice.
This year the Highlanders have decided to pump music onto the field to spice up practice.
The team passes around an iPod to different seniors and those seniors put a playlist on it to belt out during practice.
Don't worry parents, there is a strict rule about profanity when it comes to song selection. Basically, if there is any, then the kids run.
So far, things have been working very positively.
The real season begins
For the MacArthur Highlanders, this is the real season district play.
With Del City coming down on Thursday, the Mac coaching staff knows that this week is the one that begins the journey that ends in Stillwater.
"This is what it's all about," Mac head coach Brett Manning said. "Our goal of winning a state championship starts with winning a district championship and getting those first two playoff games at home. It's fun to be at this point of the season. We have done a good job of improving through the first two scrimmages and three games and it's time for it all to be real."
