Central Baptist Church members will re-enact the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his 12 disciples starting at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Central to present Living Lord's Supper

Central Baptist Church, 901 SW B, will present a Living Lord's Supper at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

"This is the last supper Jesus had with his disciples before he was arrested and crucified," said Candi Bennight of the church. "He instructed them during the supper on what lay ahead with his death, burial and resurrection."

Bennight said each disciple will have a speaking part talking about his time with Jesus and how he served him. The church choir also will sing at the event.

"It is the celebration of the life Jesus had with his disciples," Bennight said. "We are his disciples today and we can follow him as those disciples."

Bennight explained the supper symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus Christ's body and blood to pay for the price of mankind's sin.

"We celebrate Easter because he died and rose again, triumphing over death and sin," Bennight said.
