Sylvia 'Sue' Ellis
FLETCHER Graveside service for Sylvia "Sue" Ellis, 79, of Fletcher, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Fletcher Cemetery with Jim Hall, officiating.
Arrangements are under direction of Fletcher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ellis passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at her home in Fletcher.
Sylvia "Sue" Ellis was born July 26, 1938, in Cement, to Lee Wayne and Helen May (McClain) Williams. She grew up in the Cement area, where she attended high school through the 12th grade. She married Walter L. Ellis on Oct. 8, 1965. The two were married for 39 years before Walter went on to be with the Lord. She and Walter resided in Fletcher throughout their life together. Sue enjoyed working crossword puzzles and keeping up with area news by reading the local newspapers, while carrying out her life as a housewife.
She is survived by her four children: David Wayne, Gary Lee, Richard Dale, and Karen Sue Ellis, all of Fletcher; three sisters: Virginia Lee Morris, of Cement, Martha "Louise" Kerr, of Fletcher, and Linda Diane Birden, of Bartlesville; and one brother, Eddie Wayne Williams, of Cement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ellis; her parents: Lee W. and Helen M. Ellis; and one sister, Alice M. Oswalt.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
