Jimmie Opal Bradley

ARAB, Ala.  Graveside service for former Lawton resident Jimmie Opal Bradley, 99, of Arab, Ala., will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Doug Roberts officiating. 

Mrs. Bradley passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018, at her home in Arab, Ala. 

Arrangements are under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Opal was born on Dec. 20, 1918, in Denton, Texas, to J.K. and Clara (McKinney) McCollum. Mrs. Bradley retired in May of 1981 after 38 years of teaching. She loved teaching and was remembered by many of her students as a wonderful teacher. Mrs. Bradley had lived in the Arab area since 1995. 

Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, M.T. "Brad" Bradley. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marlin "Tom" and Connie Bradley, of Arab, Ala.; and her sister, Anna Lou Roberts, of Frederick. She was a beloved "Memaw" to four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous other family and friends.  

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at the funeral home.
