Comanche honors code officer of year
COMANCHE Wayne McCasland of Comanche was recognized as Code Enforcement Officer of the Year during the recent Oklahoma Code Enforcement Association annual meeting in Edmond.
McCasland has served as Comanche's code enforcement officer and animal control officer since September 2016. He was selected from among hundreds of code enforcement officers across the state and from cities of every size for the annual award.
The decision was largely based on visual impact, community engagement and positive compliance. McCasland has also provided mutual aid and training to neighboring communities on how to improve their code enforcement programs, according to Chuck Ralls, Comanche city manager.
