CACHE The Cache High School Band has exceeded 50 percent of its fundraising goal and plans to hold a breakfast Sunday to garner additional money to attend the 2013 National Memorial Day Parade May 27 in Washington, D.C.
The 58-member CHS Band is seeking $65,000 for expenses related to the trip, including transportation, food and lodging. Band Director Ben Silber said $20,000 was raised during a benefit auction and concert two weeks ago at the Great Plains Coliseum Annex.

"We're just grateful for the support of the people involved as well as the community coming out and attending," he said.
To garner the additional $30,000 needed, Cache Masonic Lodge and the Cache Band Boosters will be hosting a Breakfast Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Cache Multipurpose Building. Advance tickets are available for $5 and can be obtained from Silber at the Cache Band Hall. They will be $7 at the door. The menu will include pancakes, eggs, sausage and drink.
Silber said he is hopeful Sunday's breakfast will kick in even more funds for the trip. "It looks like upon completion of the Breakfast Fundraiser, we should meet our goal of having all the funds we need," he said.
