CACHE Shoppers looking for original Native American artwork and crafts from local artists are invited to the Indian Art Market from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday at the Tribal Art Center, 423 West C Avenue in Cache. Featured artist is Quanah Parker Burgess. He will have T-Shirts, artwork and a variety of prints for sale.
Burgess' art show opening and reception will be at 6:30 p.m. Public invited, admission free. His work will be in the Bad Eagle Art Gallery through March 30.
Also featured will be Charlotte Alvarez, Navajo, and Aneesah Perkins, Seminole and Cherokee. Alvarez's work will include beaded lanyards, keychains, hat bands; silverwork such as earrings, rings, hat pins; dreamcatchers; children's beaded and silver jewelry and more. Perkins will have ball caps with Native American embroidery work.
