HINTON (AP) A former Hinton police officer and a former Hinton police chief were wounded in an incident that began when officials say the ex-officer fought with his wife.
Caddo County Sheriff Gene Cain told the Anadarko Daily News that former officer Ron Cox and former Chief Phillip Paxton were both shot in the abdomen by one gunshot as they fought over a gun.
Authorities say both are expected to survive.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the incident began about 8:45 p.m. Monday as a domestic disturbance between Cox and his wife.
