A 15-year-old Mangum teen and her passenger were flown to an Oklahoma City hospital with injuries received after, investigators say, the teen drove off the road and hit a pole west of Martha Friday afternoon.
Samantha Fain, 15, was first taken to Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus and later flown to OU Medical Center where she was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Fain was driving a 1998 Kia southbound on Jackson County Road 200 when she drove off the gravel roadway to the right and struck a pole west of Martha at 4:38 p.m., said Trooper Kevin Miller. The trooper said the cause for Fain to drive off the road remains under investigation.
