CACHE The Gateway to the Wichitas Festival will be held here Saturday with many events and activities planned.
The festival will include a burrito breakfast, community parade, community-wide garage sale, the sale of Indian tacos, food and vendor displays, contests, a brisket cook-off, and arm wrestling and horseshoe tournaments.
There will be a burrito breakfast sponsored by the Cache Masonic Lodge at 9 a.m. along with an Indian taco lunch at 12 p.m. at the Mennonite Brethren Church.
The festival parade scheduled for 11 a.m. will include local dignitaries, service organizations, community groups and entries from the 77th Army Band "Pride of Fort Sill" Marching Band, Costello's Own Bagpipers, and the Lawton Rangers and Cache Gunfighters. The parade will begin near Cache City Park on F Avenue and continue on that street then turn on Oklahoma 115, then east onto C Avenue and continue through the downtown area before turning south on 4th to F Avenue and return to the city park.
The festival parade is being organized by the Cache Community Improvement Association, a coalition of organizations and community members interested in positively impacting the community.
