A 40-year-old Davidson man remains in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond after a Sunday night police pursuit that left him and another man injured.
Chad Dickerson made his first appearance in Jackson County District Court Thursday where he was charged with a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, according to court records.
Dickerson was arrested following a short foot pursuit that followed a short vehicle pursuit that began around 9 p.m. Sunday in Altus. Police attempted to stop Dickerson for a traffic violation but the man refused to stop his 1991 Chevrolet pickup, Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy said. Altus Police Officer Jerry Downen attempted to stop Dickerson in the 200 block of East Commerce, but Dickerson took off and led a short pursuit before colliding with a 1998 Buick driven by Christopher Felan, of Altus. The truck struck the Buick in its driver's side in the intersection of East Commerce and North Navajo. Dickerson attempted to flee on foot, Murphy said, but was apprehended.
