FREDERICK The Frederick Chamber of Commerce is seeking applications from non-food vendors for the 2012 Cotton/Ag Festival set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. The event will be held on the lawn of the Tillman County Courthouse square.
Chamber Executive Director Sharon Bennett said that a wide variety of items may be sold at the event, including art work, pottery, jewelry, sewn goods, prepared food mixes, wood crafts, needlework, beadwork and other items.
Cost for a 10-by-10 space is $25 and must be accompanied by a Cotton Fest craft show reservation form. A limited number of spaces will be available, and appropriate entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis as registrations are received with payment.
The Chamber will also be hosting a Chili Cook Off during the festival. Chili may be of any type and can be cooked on site or at home. The winners will be presented a trophy and prize money. There will also be trophies awarded for "People's Choice" and "Best Decorated Booth" The competition is open to all civic groups, businesses, neighborhood groups, professional groups, churches or individuals.
