Dogs, owners will have barking good time at annual Bark in the Park

DUNCAN  It'll be a yelping good time when the Stephens County Humane Society holds its annual Bark in the Park.

This family and pet friendly event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Fuqua Park.

There will be food, an opportunity to have a picture taken of you and your dog, raffles, contests and parades.

Organizer Patti Whitaker said there will be more activities this year than ever before.

"This event just continues to grow," she said. "It's amazing the kindness of people who are willing to help."

Whitaker said one of those people is Kelsey Avants with Edward Jones, who is underwriting Bark in the Park.

"Because of her, every penny we make will go to the shelter," Whitaker said.
